Who are we? We are Mike and Sheirla Blickenstaff.


I (Michael Blickenstaff) have lived here in Colorado Springs since the early 90s. I grew up in San Diego. Much of my career life has been in the construction industry. For the last 3 years I have been involved in many different home remodel projects. A few of these you will find on this website.  A few quick highlights of me are:


Fence companies here and San Diego since 1986.
Handyman work in San Diego.
Worked with a remodeling contractor in San Diego for 6 years.
Worked for a local contractor for about 1 year.
A brief, 9 year stint running a Microbrewery (while running Renvations   also)
Numerous home improvement projects in the last several years.

I enjoy the challenges that every different project brings. No project is ever the same. My specialties are plumbing, trim work, drywall, electrical, cabinets just to name a few of my favorites.


Sheirla has been in Colorado Springs for 5 years now. She moved here from Brazil. In Brazil she did a lot of her own work on her family's home. She extended her bedroom with block and mortar. Ran new electric (240 volt mind you) into her new bedroom. A lot of tile work, painting, and plumbing are some other things she has done in Brazil.

She has an eagle eye for detail. She can walk into a room and immediately see the smallest defect. Also, she has no qualms telling the subcontractor about it and demanding they fix it. She has enjoyed working with the standards that Building Codes bring. In Brazil, there really aren't a lot of codes for residential buildings. She has learned that the Building Codes truly do protect the public. Her specialties are tile, flooring, painting, electrical, and landscaping.




Princess is probably the most important link in Renovations. She never shuts up, thinks she is a dog and makes sure that both Sheirla and I have enough work to put food in her bowl and buy her all the latest cat toys. I guess you could say she is on top of the paperwork!
